    Hi there,
Please anyone tell me that does short url of post give better result for search, because if read some where that most of search engines detect 60 word url, so can we get better result if our url is short, instead of post title is long, like blogspot, if you have long post tile, then if automatically only first 40 words will include in post url.

Website with a short domain name will get better ranking that the long domain ones. But it is not very important to some fierce competitive keywords ranking.

Doesn't matter.. I have seen long urls (vbulletin + vbseo urls) doing just great on SERP.

I just read something on seomoz that said short urls are more likely to get followed by google...
But what is short? And what is long, and what is too long?
I think it's important to have some keywords in the url, but not get carried away.
Probably keeping it under 60 characters is a good idea...

just keep them natural and don't worry about google... there are many longer urls that perform really good on google :)

If you are using any plugin that shorten the url automatically, unnecessary word auto cuts from url, then i think it will pretty good and good for search too!!!

Having only a few keywords in the domain will help it rank better for that one keyword and not any others. So having longer urls will help you rank better for more but it might be hard to remember.

Little confusing, for example check my blog at first sig and first post, i will explain more to you!!!
actually post title is long, i am using a SEO Short url plugin, which auto cuts the unnecessary word from url and make it more search friendly. is this better or not?

    Example:
This is the post title: Why You May Wish To Consider Wedding Insurance For Your Big Day
but url is like this: mydomain.com/2010/07/wedding-insurance-big-day/

Webmaster usually include keyword in the title because keyword in the filename portion of the URL is more beneficial than in a directory/subdirectory name.. Btw, one or two parameters in dynamic URL is much better than five or six. Too many keywords in the URL look worse to the big G. Try to avoid nonessential parameters like tracking code or session ID and dashes are better than underscores.

Having keywords in the URL is the best, but in case you are not able to, It's better to keep a short URL.

    Cheers!

not mandatory to use short url. but it's a good practice to use plain text url(avoid special character) & meaningful i.e related to ur website

For blog article, it is better to make your title (hence your url) short and just include those keywords you value. So if your article is title "7 ways to be happy and improve your way of life" Then you can make your url myblog.com/7-ways-happy-improve-life and Google will rank those keywords better than if you include all the words in a sentence.
