OMG! Mia just admired two democrates and I find myself in support of his last two posts. There is hope for all of us! Good work Mia!
Had you stopped there, damn good/funny/interesting post perspective. But on this one, you lost me. I'm now looking for an application to the GTech camp.
Oh boy.. now you're comparing him to hitler... and still providing no sources, facts or examples of why. I have.. a lot less corrupt than our last US election where the current president committed all kinds of fraud Not hard to win an election when you have rigged machines and don't count all the votes either
Now I know I'm joining the GTech camp. You ask for proof on something that is obvious and then go on to provide no proof that the last election here was really rigged. How's that work for you and not him, chad?
I thought bush's election fraud had been discussed a long time ago and going over it again would be pointless. http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/2004votefraud.html http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/10432334/was_the_2004_election_stolen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._presidential_election_controversy Happy
I'd reply, but I'm still laughing at how easily young angry white males with low IQs can be manipulated. I can't gain my composure
From an AP story in May of this year: " "I am going to call a referendum," Chavez said. "I am going to ask you, all the people, if you agree with Chavez being president until 2031." The Venezuelan Constitution allows a president to be re-elected only once in immediate succession. Chavez is eligible for re-election to another six-year term in December, but if he wins he wouldn't be able to run again in 2012." Had this happened while Clinton was president, ie., some ass turd like Chavez coming to the US and bashing him, I would have been equally upset, and I would hope that leading Republicans would have condemned such behavior as well. What Chavez did was deplorable and wrong, no matter who the president is here. As an American citizen, could I go to Venezuela and publicly bash Chavez that way? I wonder... What would be the ramifications of that? He seeks to be a totalitarian dictator like Hitler did. The similarities to Hitler are almost too similar to miss. Like? Let's see Bush won, so there must be some fraud involved. Ok, I understand your logic. Young angry white males with low IQ's get very upset when they do not get their way. That's not the result of fraud though. Rigged machines. You kill me. You've been reading up on Dobbs again.. Let's see Bush won with old antiquated manual punch cards in 2000, and again in 2004 with electronic voting machines. Both of which the mentally retarded voting public, as well as those in Rio Linda seem to have had no problem with in the past. Again, Bush won (not once but twice) so something must be wrong with the machines. Your logic is comical. I have to give yo credit for that much on DP. He does certainly have quite the sense of humor. He keeps me laughing every time he opens his mouth.
What kind-of referedum is that!? A president in many cases has more power than kinds (a duly noted when America first got it's first president he had ten times more power than UK's King). So Chavez wants to be lifetime King in ways....WTF!? If something like that happens, then fuck the concept of democracy w/responsiblity.
Wow??!!......I don't want to sound redundant(Another cool word-Please look this up in your dictionary Yo-Yo!) but GTech and Mia answered for me except add,"obviously uneducated", to GTech's post! Well guys, at least Yo-Yo made us all laugh in this thread! It must be an act!??...I hope! Thanks Yo-Yo!
yeh.. sure sounds like a dictator to me..... and this sure sounds way more democratic Who's laughing again?
I don't see him as dictator, but the idea that a questionable election allows him another opportunity to be pres till 2031 is silly. Times change, and any elect official must have a limit (and accountability from time to time). If Bush (or any president) requested anything similiar to this, I would be excessively against the idea for two reasons:1)It's a lot harder get rid of a standing president 2)You can't change the country to alternatives, even if that's the desire of everyone........thus the need for time limits. If only they'd do this to the senate and house. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,194557,00.html President Hugo Chavez said that if opposition parties boycott December's presidential election he would call a referendum asking voters to decide whether he should govern Venezuela for the next 25 years. (sorry for the source) A 25 year term....just sounds terrible. That's fairly shitty that their constitution is just a matter of referendum....that means it's easy to fuck-up. To me, he just sounds like a child.
Once again... sure signs he's a dictator when using "if's" and "asking voters" Anyone else have any undeniable evidence of chavez being a tyrant and a dictator other than "ifs" and "asks"
I would like to be the first to step up publicly and offer to pitch in for a plane ticket south so Yo-Yo can head to chavez land and express his ideas freely. But if he takes the money, he can't be a yo-yo and bounce his ass back here when he realizes how bad he screwed up would have to be a condition.
I'd offer the money if the terms were such. Permanent residence in Venezuela... Maybe he could work for Hugo....lol.
when did I ever show desire to live in Venezuela - mexico's president isn't a dictator and I dont neccessarily wish to move there either
I'd be happy to send you to Iraq permanently.. after all it's safer than those big bad ghettos you've been to
I'll live with the Kurds. ; ) Spinning my context again.....the whole of Iraq is not in turmoil, thus in some places I wouldn't feel the overt fear of death....like the Kurdish settlements. In fact you might be able to say that Kurds like America more than some Americans do.
*Makes me realize why they were pushing for a coalition government of the Kurds, shia, and sunni's. I find this humerous... http://vladimirkurdistan.blogspot.com/2006/02/iraqi-kurdistan-is-more-pro-american.html Iraqi Kurdistan is more pro-American than America. People there refer to George W. Bush as “Hajji Bush†(meaning he made the Muslim pilgrimage, the hajj, to Mecca), an incredibly high honor for a Christian from Texas whom most people hate. Bill Clinton may have been America’s first “black†president. But people in at least one part of the world say Bush is the first “Muslim†president. Weird and amazing, but true.
My suggestion is that you ebay you belongings and buy a plane ticket to Venezuela, Iraq or Korea. Your choice; move. You might want to put that in the proper context. As far as the predsidents decision on cabinet members. He is ultimately "the decider." That pretty much sums up Hugo.
