Internet Gambling Legal to Host?

Hello All,

I have been doing some research regarding hosting an internet poker room. However in the U.S., internet poker is deemed to be illegal?

My question is, if it is illegal how does PokerStars and FullTiltPoker still serve U.S. customers?

They are not US companies and are licensed in other countries where it is legal. If you don't live or operate in the US and have a considerable sum of money to invest, there are legal sites on the net that specialize in gambling licenses.

Wasn't internet gambling in the U.S. made legal not to long ago? Maybe I read something wrong though.

 

Congress is currently studying this issue - and it apprars they are going to pass a bill this session which includes registration fees and taxes. It looks like greed to collect taxes will out weigh the religious right's desire to regulate our morals.

 

You will need to get an offshore host for this, somewhere in Russia or Hong Kong as it's the hardest place to get a site shutdown right now.
