Taking weeks to get indexed.

    Why is this?

    I added new, 100% unique content to my site ten days ago, Google downloaded the sitemap and saw the content that day. But still hasn't indexed any of it.

    Site is:

    Aussie Pythons

    Is there anything wrong on-page?

    The fastest way to get indexed is with backlinks. If you put the link in your dp sig it should get indexed within a day.

    Well my site and a few pages are indexed, it's just three of the new subpages aren't. I didn't think backlinks would make much difference when indexing the subpages. Thanks.

    sitemap is a one way... you can try other way to get your site index like gathering some links..

    so still new then :)

    The more valid back links the more important the site the quicker/ deeper / more often googlebot crawls
    Backlinks to the pages not crawled will also help.

    A site map only tells google where the pages are, NOT that they are worth looking at.
