$25 logo contest for blog

I’m looking for a logo for a lifestyle blog called The Freckled Life. The blog (currently in its infancy) is a lifestyle blog focusing on ways to get people out of their mundane daily grind, and add some adventure to their lives.

The logo can have an element of fun or to it, but I want to keep it relatively simple and 2 dimensional (i.e. not a lot of shading, shadows or tiny details). I prefer a logo that is a bit more abstract or geometric, versus a caricature. Something brandable.

It should look simple and clean if printed in black & white or in color. No particular color scheme at this point but should reflect a fun, not too serious attitude, while still looking professional.

I will provide as much feedback as I can. $25 for the logo and possibly additional work (business card design, custom blog template design etc) to the winner. Will announce winner on Saturday at 12pm PT. Feel free to post entries here or in pm.

If none of the designs are usable, I reserve the right to extend the timeline for additional entries.

your going to print it? So you need it in vector format?

First two little bit extravagant colors. Last one is more formal colors.

For sure there are possible all type of edits (color,font, symbol etc)

Opticalpigion - I need the logo to say The Freckled Life...including the THE. Also, the bevel feature on it won't show up very well in print.
Lilianchen 0 It's cute, but looks a little to Partridge family i think. I would prefer not to include the faces, and without the colors, i think it would look strange.
Track - i like the general idea, though i think the parachute is the main image i pick up so i feel like the site is very outdoorsy based with the mountians and trees in the background. Also the color is way too bright.
Debyanmitra - While the crossroad thing was an interesting idea, it doesn't really work for a logo because it's more of a picture. It isn't very brandable.
Zatomik - While i like the general style, the little person looks very generic. That same figure is used on like every running t-shirt out there. Also needs to include the THE before Freckle Life.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted so far, though i don't think any of them are quite right for my purposes. I do plan to print the logo, so i wold need a vector.

Zatomik - i like the dots inside the letter in the FL. My concern with the other one is that it will look odd with the dots in black and white. Can you make the word Freckled have the dots inside and leave the The and Life solid? Also can we play with different fonts and colors a bit? Maybe make The and Life black or gray and leave Freckled in color?

Here is my revision with new font and diferent colors. If you have some more specific idea about font and color it is welcome. For example funny vs serious font, thin, bold etc.

interesting. there is many good vector designers, but nobody join this one..

 

i think most designers enter only to "easy" contest. Usualy contest which doesnt need so much thinking what to make as symbol for that company. But this one is kinda hard thinking, at least in my eyes.
