Does PR still have an Importance?

I have 3 websites, first one has got PR 1 and the second one has got PR 2 and the third one is a bit new so it hasn't got any PR so far. But my webmaster friends say that it doesn't matter now to have any PR and it hasn't any importance now. I don't know whether it is true or not but I think it has an importance.

Ofcourse it is important, so many people are also making money because of the pagerank lol !!

It is important so that you can differentiate between a good and bad SEO techniques applied for a website.

 

if it is real PR then important, if isnt then have no importance.

 

PR is still important, it represent the backlink point to your site
And also it affect your SERP too

 

The only thing that ever mattered and still will be the only factor is SERP in order to receive organic search via Google. Thats it.

SERP : Search Engine Results Page, It is your page position for a particular keyword in search engines.

PR Has nothing to do with how widely or how much old or reliable your site is. I have a domain which i registered last month and i got PR2 for it in just 3 days after i registered! I heave other sites with more than 10000-15000 UV and are only PR1, I have couple of .info domains with PR3 and PR4.

It is nothing, Check this site and see when it was registered! muzikis.in. You people will be amazed!

 

PR is still important. PR represents the authority of a certain page to the eyes of search engines. If you will build links on PR 0 and PR 1 website. You will noticed that your links on PR1 are indexed more faster than your link on a PR0 website. Hope you get my point.

 

two concepts have emerged in recent years .. "real time search" and 'trust rank".. if you see pages that have low rank yet still show up on top of the serp you know it is because of some other factors..

 

Google never shows what is important for Ranking!

PR has lately been so out of minds of webmasters that it doesn't even matter coz!
They say PR is for a particular page. There are sites which Gain PR like in 3 days without links, and sites which never get good PR but good traffic!

 

PR - this is one of the valuer of web-site's authority for google.

I think the benefit it has for most SEO practitioners is in ensuring that your links are spread across various Page Ranks. As far as SERPs go, PR is not really an indicator of SERP success.

 

I've seen alot of softwares out there saying can add 30,000 backlinks and so on. Are these actually worth it though? Wouldn't google see your site go from 1 to 30,000 in a month and go wait a minute whats going on here?

 

I would say it's important.

 

PR is useless... in my opinion. It serves you well, only if you are looking to build a site to sell links.... otherwise it has little to no significance for serp position.
