Do some research. The .us registry does in fact pull domains they deem unethical.

And no, RPG sites are not gambling sites. So stop trying to fool yourself into thinking that RPG sites on .us means that your gambling and porn .us domains are ok. They aren't.

considering i have already got some up and running with no problems and m8 its all down to content i dont have illegal or taboo stuff on my sites and yeh they are classed as gambling sites thats why i need a damm gambling license !

i take money from players and they can then win jackpots in cash thats classed as gambling

you hit it right on the button my sites are not unethical !

you must think i dont have a clue lol
wrong m8 i know what i need to know

anybody toting around any 3d names with acronyms?
I know it's still too early to consider these as prime targets, but was curious what .com's everybody had in a 3d acronym.
I grabbed a 3d acronym off of a drop yesterday that i kinda like:
    3DTVR.com
i was thinking of 3d TV Recorder or recording... looking further before purchasing i saw a few others that fit nicely as well, like 3d TV & Radio or even better, 3d TV Ratings. ... meanwhile, another term for 'TVR' is the british sportscar 'TVR'.. never had (or DO have) any intentions of using this for that, but it's nice that it exists as an option. I'm sure if i dig deeper, i could find a few companies to shop this to when the time comes.

i have a couple of others that i could list, but was curious what everybody else has.
    :)

    You have no clue.

You are from the UK. Your .us domains fall under US laws. Your gambling license in the UK means nothing for your sites on .us domains. Online gambling is illegal in the US. Vegas can't even get online in fact. It is even illegal to be an affiliate of a gambling affiliate program.

And no, it isn't just based on site content. Undeveloped domains have been pulled in the past.

Furthermore, you probably aren't even authorized to own .us domains. Are you a US citizen? Do you have a corporation set up in the US?

I love how these kind of threads attract perpetual noobs who know everything.

I dont think 3d domains are any good at the min, i have a few for sale that are not even getting a sniff at, maybe in a year or two a few of them might sell, I put them all up for sale on sedo for very low £xx and nothing so far.

    MR CURLY!!!!
    Welcome to DP buddy!! :)
How have u been? Hope all is well with you.

i do, however, have to somewhat disagree with that 3d domain names are not so good at the moment... they're actually gaining a LOT of steam, and just recently, a few of the bigger domainers in the industry have started blogging about it

    SEE HERE:
    http://www.thedomains.com/2010/07/1...-domains-hint-its-not-me-frank-rick-or-kevin/
... matter of fact... this news just came from that blog today:
"RealD (NYSE RLD) – a 3D Movie maker and 3D technology distributor – went public today."
    HUGE News!!

The amount of searches on my names are increasing by the day (i actually had 480 hits yesterday alone (combined), my highest one day total yet)

I have started getting a lot more various contacts regarding my names as well from all over the world and the word is obviously out there - try grabbing a decent 3d name off the drop these days - SO much harder to do now.

I also think that the 3d Domain Names are going in priority order, meaning your (and mine as well) .co.uk names will have to probably wait a little bit longer then the others.... you also don't seem to have too many .com's that would be categorized as 'category killers', and that's what seems to be going first.... as early as we think we were to this game, we really WERE late to the party, so guys like you and me and iain..etc... while i think we have some really good names combined, i do think if you are honest with yourself (and your names) you will see that we are obviously in the second and third tier of 3d names - unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer than the the big guys, but i do honestly believe we will have more than a few moments under the sun.... we DO have some really good names - but i don't think any name i have is what anyone would call "GREAT, GREAT NAME!" as far as proper domaining goes. (character count, noun-adjective..etc..)

Not to mention, i haven't sought out ONE END-USER to date ... i have posted a couple of names in the forums from time to time, but nothing substantial that i'm scratching my head saying 'i can't believe no one wants this name' ... i have had my google alerts setup for a while now on about 150 different 3d names... the amount of end-user potential sitting there is INSANE... i will probably hold off until no sooner than 2011 to start searching for end-users, as search volume will certainly be up for the holidays, not to mention new products, more awareness, and for some, more belief that 3d IS going to translate successfully to the domain industry.

    Anyway...
I know we're ALL getting a bit antsy - but it's coming... i hope you can hold on to as many as you can for the time being

    Enjoy all
.. and nice to have you here Mr Curly :)

Wow really? I have some domain names, which should be sold for more than $10k then :) I even have 3dgooglenews.com, which Google would definitely block once 3D becomes really popular.
