Hi all I'm thinking of using Wordpress for a CMS (non-technical client wants to be able to add/delete pages and change content for a small website). I've a good knowledge of html and css but have found Joomla pretty off-putting and so am about to look into Wordpress. Before I do, can anyone tell me if I can use Wordpress to create WHATEVER design I wish (I currently use Expression and this lets me code whatever design I can dream up for customers) or will I be constrained as to what designs I can offer customers? For example, could I use Wordpress to create the two designs in my signature? Many thanks to anyone who replies.
u can easily customize wordpress themes.but u need some basic php knowledge to integrate html/css layout to wordpress. u can design those two sites easily in wordpress. u can integrate almost all html/css layouts to wordpress.
You can customize anything you want to with Wordpress. If you don't already know PHP, get learning - a sound understanding of how to code is the best tool you can have. Install Wordpres, get a basic theme and rip it apart and add your own HTML/CSS. Soon enough you'll know what you're doing .
