    Reffering traffic is coming from a link that you have made on other webiste, this website can be a Forum, Blog, Social Networking or Bookmarking etc.

    Jep, reffering means that other websites refer to your website. People click links or are redirected to your website from these websites.
    Check the following picture to understand referring:

    A. Your Website
    B. Facebook - With link to your site

    Person X clicks the link on facebook and is referred to your website, Google analytics notices this and processes it as referring websites.

    hello,
    Reffering traffic mean , traffic coming to website with other means .As a example if traffice coming from socialnetworking site (twitter) that will show in analytics as reffering by twitter.
