Is the pope Christian enough for you?

Are you reading impaired? From where is it exactly that you get the impression that the man doesn't believe man came from ape like creatures earlier on down the line in the evolutionary cycle? The idea of homo sapien having a common ancestor is not in the slightest bit contrary to the theory of evolution. His quoted statements in the wiki link I provided make it pretty clear he is a firm believer in evolution. And I agree, he is a scientist with credibility.

So you don't believe in carbon dating either? How many other areas of science do you refuse to acknowledge?

As an evolved Muslim, my beliefs are deeply rooted in the existence of Allah. Unlike you, my beliefs have adapted to conform with our current understanding of science. On a demographic basis, that puts me at the leading edge of the bell curve amongst my fellow believers. Conversely, your beliefs put you at the trailing edge amongst your peers.

By the way, you never even acknowledged this question, no less provided an answer to it:

Are you surprised to find his work leads him to believe in evolution while somehow or other you think it substantiates the creation story?

The roman catholic church followed their own law called "Cannon Law". I am not a Catholic so I would rather not speak for them but they had their own set of rules to preserve the teachings of the new testament and often punished heresy with the death penalty. They had their own legal system to govern the people. This has nothing to do with the Bible. There should have been other ways to combat heresy, at least ones which follows the new testament. In other words, they were disobeying the message of the New testament.

Whether he believes in Evolution or not, I'll refer you to this once again.
"By analyzing the Y chromosome DNA from males in all regions of the world, geneticist Spencer Wells has concluded that all humans alive today are patrilineally descended from a single man who lived in Africa around 60,000 years ago." Is this hard to understand?

Charles Darwin never denied Creation. You'd have to understand Humans are "special unique species". I'm not denying evolution of other species but Evolution is not to replace creation. Why? Well, because it never did and never will explain the existence of the first cell (life) on earth.

Carbon dating is never used as a primary source of information. It is only good up to several thousand years then you have to rely on other evidence to back up your experiment/information. That is because the C-14 ratio was not the same as it is today. That being said, the tree diagrams used to represent Evolution of species contain many gaps that are usually filled with assumptions.

I couldn't resist a laugh because obviously you are either living in denial or have no idea about Islam. Follow this please:
    1) If you believe in Allah as a creator of humans and all living organisms, then why are you stuck to your Evolution theory?
    2) Evolution is not accepted by Islam. In fact, it is removed from the school Curriculum in most Middle Eastern Countries today.
    3) Whether you evolve or not, you're evolving your mentality as a person but Religion stays the same, at least, if you want to consider it a Religion.
    4) If you still do not believe me, try to mention Evolution in an Arab Country. You'll see the response.
    5) If you agree to the above, then you are not at the bell curve. In fact, you're not in the graph at all.

    See above.

Why? Because I said so. Very funny Luke. Did you pass your science classes with answers like that? Did you attend science classes? How about school?

Now that may be the most humorous bit of irony I've read in a while.

Its not my evolution theory. Most modern people call it science. For you, I'll simplify it. Call it witchcraft.

And yet I am Muslim and I accept it, just like I accept the theory of gravity. Deal with it. I am fully aware many of my Muslim brothers do not accept it and that is fine. It is something you and they have in common.

Tell me again about the other dimension. I'm very interested in knowing about it. I'm also greatly interested in any further scientific articles you have to present in favor of evolution. I was shocked and encouraged you even presented the first one.

I'm debating whether or not to eat this butterscotch candy.

I like the candies, but not as much as the drink.

Speaking of drinks, I'm exactly half way through a Pepsi Max.

.... Oh, I'm sorry, were we not discussing random off topic things? :p

I'm just teasing, as I know how these threads go - but at the same time I also don't see this going anywhere fast. >.<'

I think you are relying on Science too much. A wise scientist once told me that anything that we are studying today could be disproved tomorrow. That is the nature of the complexity of Science. In fact, just recently, Scientists discovered through experiments that the proton- "building block of all ordinary matter" is
actually 4% smaller than they thought! This is actually a big deal and messes up loads of calculations originally took into account & constants.
Likewise, Evolution could be disproved at anytime....

Can you tell me Why are you interested in knowing about the human experience during the second coming of Jesus ?

It's been growing in popularity in Australia since.... Well, for 10 odd years. I started drinking it when I got juvenile (type 1) diabetes as a kid and back then you could only find it in some supermarkets, no delis, no fast food joints, etc.

Now there are vending machines, almost all shops, delis, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc. :)

I drink way too much of the stuff; like 4 liters a day, lol.

So you hold your breath hoping they disprove Atheism or Gravity.

That sh*t is toxic. I try and keep soda out of my house entirely.

The Christians will never reach the everlasting without bring to justice the crucifiers of the Saint to realize the message lost to them by the event and their own actions.

2000 years old BS about God and Jesus is already disproved, you don´t need to wait for tomorrow.

The radicals of every religion will have their voices heard above the rest. In my opinion, all religions are toxic and hate filled.
