windows xp would be the best as vista and windows 7 eat up alot of memory and things and xp is way faster than the two, so definatly xp service pack 2
Unfortunately, for commercial games, it's got to be windows based. Now i would recommend XP, but to stand a chance with all the new games, you will just want to have 7 under your belt. There's no point in downgrading, since all new games yearn for the latest tech and OS's.
Can other OS than windows play game? like Linux, Mac, or something like that. are they compatible? or i need some emulator? (like Wyne for programs)
the latest os is the best as it has all the features a most optimized usage of the latest technology and hardware present..............
i think all latest OS are good for gaming. I recommend windows XP home as the Best OS for gaming. but, nowadays, ubuntu has the Wine program, that allow windows's application to run in ubuntu, so it also would be great. Many games was developed from the windows basic, to MAC OS compatible. That's why, i think all the OS are good for gaming, when it comes for "GAMING".
