"...nothing really happens." I haven't seen anyone really produce anything out of this kind of threads... but you know it is always good to see someone trying. That is why I encourage it... BUT if they expect to get traffic from this thread and make money, then they will fail miserably.

And I agree with comments above that asks for more details on how he makes the $5 or whatever amount. If more details are shared then the thread would be even better.

I like the idea of setting a goal and journaling your efforts. A lot more people should do it because it puts it into perspective how much you really "work". A lot of people will spend a lot of time online but not really much on their actual projects. I'm guilty of being on a computer 8 hours a day, but sometimes I leave work never feeling like I accomplished anything.

Unfortunately I don't think this is really worth journaling much. You can make $200 article writing and designing no problem. However, I think most journals are better for long-term plans of building a website, establishing the traffic, and making money at it. Article writing and designing should be the first step in getting money to build your website and promote it. Beyond that, your going to continue to get bashed if all your planning on doing is journaling about your article writing and designing projects. :)

Hey... sorry for replying a little late. I didn't want to continue with this thread, but I see some interested people that are posting. It has been a dream of mine for a long time to make it in the Internet Marketing business, but I find it a little hard to make profit from it. This is why I'm starting low, with the quickest ways to make money. By offering freelance services I was able to generate a small profit from day 1 ($5). The second day I made about $30 by doing some offline work for a friend. I believe that it is very important to grab to every opportunity I get, so if I get a chance, I'll do offline work as well. Anyway... I'm a little tired right now, but I promise I will go into more detail tomorrow.

I do not intend to make this thread about freelancing. Like I said before, I want to try different methods and write about them here, I want to share what works and what doesn't, for me at least. This thread was made mainly for me really.... In the past I enjoyed reading journal threads, like this one, and now I intend to give something back to this community. It is something I enjoy doing and something I believe will be of use to newbies. This is something that helps me going.

I made the first five dollars on http://www.fiverr.com/. Check it out if you didn't know about it, it's worth it. It also has no limit for money withdrawal. But, I will go into more detail tomorrow...

    You got me worried.

More people will read if I write here on DP. No reason to start a blog right now...

    You have too much time.

Let me repeat myself... This isn't about how I made those five dollars. I could have posted a bullshit thread with recycled information and a catchy title... Like so many do. But why? What I'm writing here is as real as it gets.

This is the worst journal thread I have ever seen on DP.

And I have seen a lot of terrible threads on this forum.

    Train Wreck

Why not start the thread over.... Change your user name (Your credibility is already tarnished)....... Get rid of your "1990's Avatar".....

    And......

You claim that you are going to work as an "article writer". You need to learn how to be organized and hold people's attention.
This thread ain't cuttin' it..... I'm sure you can do much better

You also claim you want to do Graphic Design... Why not put up an Avatar that can show off your artistry. Your Avatar is REALLY terrible (I hope you didn't design it).

Article writing and graphic design is about selling yourself. Be professional.. Look professional. Act Profession....

And for God's sake..... Get a new account

    Good Luck

Can't believe I read every post in the thread and the only thing I learned about is a site called Fiverr.
Now I'm wondering if that was the point to begin with?
    Hmmmm.

I think we just hurt ConstantinI's feelings... on behalf of all DP I would like to apologize for... ohhh, never mind. If I apologize, he'll just start another crappy thread about fiverr

I do feel a bit bad - constantini is far - very far - from the worst perpetrator of this kind of thread. Only recently I saw someone doing a similar thing in the search engine forum on how he got 30 visitors a month, without the rough ride. And at least he didn't start a thread asking 'what is keywords' while advertising his SEO service in his sig.
So, keep at it, connie* , it's all a learning experience.

*not this thread, but things 'in general'.

Oh, how much I love you DP.

OP... just take my advice in the earlier thread....

Change your name and do it again.

If you start it off correctly next time you won't get trolled nearly as much.

    You live you learn.
