I feel a certain product will work on a one page review site without pages of distracting content so I want to build a one page review site but I don't know if this is a good idea (if it will take me very long to get a good ranking by building backlinks) Just wanted to hear from other marketers who have done one page review sites and how well they fared.... Thanks
It maybe considerably hard to rank well with just one page. Google's goal is to make the highest authority site the number 1 result, so if you only have one page it would be awful hard (but not impossible) to convince them you are "the" authority for your niche. My advice would be to create a blog within your site, and put one subtle link on your squeeze page to that blog for Google to follow. Use the blog and write articles targeting your long tail keywords and be sure the articles link back to your squeeze page. If possible use your seo skills try to get each of your articles ranked top 3 for that long tail word.
alliedwallet is right; a single page website is hard to make a authority site, because authority sites are usually sites that provide valuable content. wich normally a single page isnt. yet i found out that a single page is hard to rank high in google, but not impossible. hard work and dedication are key.
Thanks, so if I put the link right at the bottom next to the sitemap, and privacy policy that would be ok?...
I'm afraid I might give up before I'm half way there, I will go for the extra content but do what Alliedwallet suggested
