    even i got FP on saturday, i got handsome traffic, but ecpm is below 0.50 and earning is $7.. really surprised :(

    Depends on the niche....for some niches, earnings raise during the holidays.
    As for the question, the clients who buy ads are decreasing the rates...not google

    The economy is declining -- retail, housing, etc., ever since the federal stimulus dried up in May. Advertisers are buying fewer ads and bid less on the ads they buy.

    That is a well-thought out answer and refreshing to see in these threads.
    Those of us in Adwords can say for certain this is the case.
    Also, Google is enticing people to come back by offering $100 budget money to former advertisers.
    But the fact remains- when sales are down, the budget for everything is down as well.
    Smart business people follow a rule of "%" spent on advertising....that's it in a nutshell.
