My Alexa ranking is increasing these days

I am happy to notice that my blog has crossed the >1million for the first time since it started.........................Please mention ur success wid alexa if u hav a blog.....I know dat thogh alexa is nt d accurate rank.....it gives the approximate value of your website.........

 

Congratulations Blogshut. Although I do not have a blog, my website's ranking is in the 400,000's. It was above 1 Million before.

But I do not think Alexa gives any accurate rankings.

 

How long does it generally take for your ranking on alexa to go down?

 

Just focus on increasing traffic to your website. Alexa ranking will go down (which is better). It took me 2 months to go from above 1 million to less than 500,000. But I think it depends on your traffic again. If you can get more traffic, the faster will your ranking go down.

 

If alexa is accurate do you or any one else know what does give an accurate ranks

Have you noticed that you are able to check what backlinks your competitors have...just enter their url into the search and click on the number of links...

 

congrats dude .. but try to get traffic from all countries ... it will shoot up your alexa ranking

I am not sure about backlinks because there are many sites which link to my blog but in alexa there is only one mentioned

I think there are no websites which give more accurate rank than alexa..............This is the most popular.....

 

Oh...yeah i checked out..........how do u normally drive traffic......

 

my site was 36k in alexa 2 months ago...I just did one lil tweak and with same traffic site rank is 18k.
alexa is NOT accurate.

Alexa is NOT accurate but it also is a important index for webmaster

 

did you put 2 alexa counters per page instead of one or something?
