This is indeed a sad day... what ever happened to the days when our country was at war, we would pull together? Not be so divided over such important issues such as this?

Haha, okay, I'm a lot less worried now :)

Besides, do they realize that if Bush was impeached, Cheney would be the next president? Lol... like they would think that's any better.

    Btw:

    LOL.

They don't count on succeeding with their attempt to impeach him. It's just another way to weaken a strong party.

    Big News?......more like big joke!:D

Hey......Clinton got impeached for lying about getting a BJ from a fat girl, but Bush won't because Dems voted to go to war based on the same information that came from the people Clinton put in!

    Ask the pancake man.....John Kerry!

If the Democrats take over either the Senate or the House this Fall Bush will be up Sh!ts creek in a variety of ways. But if I was an elected official who was a democrat I wouldn't say anything about impeachment and just run on issues and let the voters decide.

    That ain't all....

Not really.. It will just be a couple more years of stalemate. In order to bring impeachment proceedings against a president, you have to have an impeachable offense. There is no impeachable offense. Sadly if the dems go through with this, it will be yet another nail in the coffin of an already dead uber party for the metnally challenged.

I didn't say they would or should impeach him. In fact only the House can initiate and carry that out.

Taking over at least one of the two parts of Congress would effectively change the way the nation has been governed over the last 5 years.

That would be a big improvement. Dubya needs to have lots of checks and balances....basically he needs adult supervision.:D

With adult supervision though, Dubya will still have plenty of time to ride his bike!!!!

He does have "checks and balances". That is how our form of government works. We have three branches which offer just that "adult supervision" you speak of. Without it, we'd have more judges legislating from the bench. More lunatic congressmen screaming tax and spend.

    Looks like it is working.

In theory, we have checks and balances. During the last 5 years though, w/both the Executive and legislative branches being in the same party and virtually at lockstep agreement there haven't been "effective" checks and balances.

It is only lately, after many calamities and public unhappiness with many of the policies and practices showing ineffectiveness, that some Republicans are breaking ranks on some issues.

Checks and balances are an effective way to consider all points.

The elections will determine if there is a change in direction.

Versus the Republican platform: A really dumb stubborn guy being advised by a few paranoid nutcases comes up with a platform...and since the rest of the party is dumber...but acts in unison like stepford wives....they'll just continue to follow in lockstep like zombies.

    That is a great platform:D
