I get just about no refunds. I think that the product your are promoting must be a total rip off, that's the only explanation. People get pissed and they search and find a ways to get a refund.
yeah, unfortunately you have latched on to a product with a very high refund rate. but to be honest, it rarely is ever that high but like what the folks here say, just get a copy in future (most vendors are willing to give it out for free) and then have a look at it to see if it's worth the money or not. hang in there, you'll be fine selling another product. Good luck!
I will just put it out there, I think people are a little too protective and secretive although I understand it, maybe someone can learn from this, the product I am having it occur with is Fat Burning Furnace, I am not finding a ton of negative out there about it, I did read it myself, it is par for the course fitness material. Its not earth shattering and it is not horrible. I would not consider my pre-sell overly strong. You can check it out here : http://www.fitbodyzone.com/fat-burning-furnace/ The traffic is from some PPC, so it is people looking for the product in the first place.
Only other thing I can think of is, is the traffic from Western countries? USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe? I won't buy traffic from anywhere else because of poor conversions, and refund requests.. Also, you say PPC- is is Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft advertising? If it is cheaper clicks from some... cheaper ppc source then I think this could be the reason - and those "paid to surf" ppc programs which give you very cheap clicks are just not worth it at all.. But generally I can't see why you would have that refund rate based on the look of and whats on your site..I agree that it seems a fair enough review, youre not going over the top, and I am still suprised you are having this sort of refund rate. I think it could be just simple bad luck, and if you made 20 more sales then you might not (should not) get anywhere near as many refunds.
Most of the purchases have been from US, the CPC is on yahoo... specifically targeting only the product keywords. It is odd to me, this is my first experiment into affiliate marketing and I did a ton of research and thought I had set things up in a good/honest way.
Wow, that is very high refund rate. Have you analyzed the report to figure out the reasons? or look into your promotional methods to find the reason for dissatisfacton.
Yeah, it looks pretty honest / good / normal what you have done and I don't know why you have had this refund rate... by the lack of responses I don't think anyone else does either.. it could just be bad luck, or random factors outside your control - don't dwell on it, just keep building, keep driving sales - if you can make 6 on your first attempt then I'm sure you can make 6 more and check your refund rate on a bigger scale - you could of course switch things up and promote another products, but I would recommend making 20 sales, or sending several hundered hops before you fully make up your mind... just so you have a really solid stat to compare to really..
Let me point a few things I noticed. One of your affiliate links are broken http://www.fitbodyzone.com/order/fatburningfurnace lead to http://www.http.com//3090b5skvmzsrcjy73vfu7ldun.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=SLSC&pid=1 wrong url format The last sentence of your landing page And did I mention… this program is backed by a 60 day Money Back Guarantee? What do you have to lose? I think people really liked that sentence Try removing that sentence and see what happens. Thanks
Some products are sold almost entirely on the basis of being able to get a refund. If the refund is pitched too heavily in the sales copy, it sticks at the front of customers minds. It's a tough conundrum - on the one hand you want them to know about the guarantee so they know there's no risk, but then after the sale you want them to immediately forget all about it. Usually this is done by overdelivering on your promises so people feel happy with their purchase, and maybe being super friendly so they may feel guilty getting a refund? Anyway.. my point: make sure you're not pushing the refund guarantee harder than you need to, and make sure you're not promising anything that the product won't deliver.
I LOVE guarantees, on our site there is a badge letting people know they can get a refund within 60 days - this is on every product page near the buy button. I think this increases conversion rather than decreases it - if people are unsure, new to a product, or skeptical then a strong guarantee will tip them over the edge... According to Dan Kennedy the most successful refund statement ever was "If your friends and family don't think you've had a face lift then we'll give your money back" (this was for a skin creme product).... I think this varies from one product to the next, but just think about how you can make the refund help you rather than hinder you... I do agree though that the key is to overdeliver - offer a solid product, don't oversell it, and overdeliver on what they get, provide good customer service and a good followup... don't stop at the sale, keep helping them, providing info, advice, updates...
Really? Well let me tell you...I'm the mother of a teenager who fell into the scam "click here" button. I have had numerous phone conversations with Click Bank and I am totally frustrated. No credit was issued. He has now incurred multiple NSF charges (more than the amount of product, which he never received)! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Their answers are scripted as I can tell you exactly what they will say when I call back after 7 to 10 business day and still....no credit issued. I am done with them and ready to take the next step. Who do I really need to talk to?
That's nothing new .. Clickbank's customer service isn't really what it should be, but refunds do have a priority. I might be wrong or didn't completely understand your concern. You didn't get a refund ? Al.
@Upset Mother May I Ask? Why do you need to call them, the procedure to get a refund was as easy as completing a web form and you should be able to get your refund. I've asked clickbank for more than 50 refunds so far over the years and never had any issues. This really intrigues me since I've never heard anyone complaining about refunds.
Dear Mam, I'm a clickbank vendor and I'll tell you how things work. You don't need to call Clickbank. You can get a refund by locating your e-mail receipt. This is the receipt of your purchase that has been received by e-mail when the purchase was made. At the bottom of that e-mail, you will see the following: Just click the link that is provided in the e-mial, and you'll be taken to the clickbank interface in which you have the option of requesting a refund. You can get a refund without even contacting clickbank nor the vendor by doing what I told you.
Partly because it has been over 60 days as my son was away for quite awhile and unable to check his account, and partly because I am not a seller requesting a refund but a purchaser of product. No form was ever mentioned to me.
This purchase was made by a 17 year old and how good are they at reading their emails. Granted, this may be an expensive learning experience for him, but he now knows how important it is to read things and to also check his email and bank statements. However, to his benefit, he was away for 5 months with no internet access at that time.
Unfortunately if it's more than 60 days from the actual purchase I'm afraid it's impossible to get a refund.
