This might sound hard but I get in excess of $200 a month from my own sites that require little or no maintenance. If you have access to a computer and internet at home, have a small amount to invest and could work full time then you could probably bring in double that. You might find it easier to partner with somebody who has a large number of sites in their portfolio but not doesn't have the time to run them.
You may sign up for some freelance companies as well. This will enhance the chances of showing your skills and earn more too.
