Is this a good way to promote on facebook?

Recently I am really considering using Facebook as a way to tell people about what my site has to offer. The offer is a game where people earn real money.

Here is the process do you think it would work, and have you experienced this yourself?

I create a Group or Fanpage whatever its called now , make it all nice add a pic and everything. And then start inviting people to join .

Will people pay attention to it , if I send invite out to lets say 1000 people what % do you think would actually join/

If it works... it's a good idea
    If it doesn't... it's not

Unfortunately, that is how the Internet game is played.
If you have time to make the Facebook page and get fans (although getting fans for something like that may be hard), then go for it. Nobody here can tell you if it will work or not.

But.. needless to say... you have to put a lot of time and energy in it.. (make sure and not do something that will get your page banned)......

    Good Luck

Was really hoping someone here had experience with it, because of course I won't do it myself, I would just outsource most of the work. Either way I still hope someone will reply :)

I have tried Facebook paid adv, honestly Its the worst ad system I have tried, the benefit from it was disastrous, seems like people click the ads by accident.

    HI,

It depends on how you are ready to work on it.

Facebook really works but I have not been to the gaming niche so I don't know how it is there - but I think it shoudl work cos facebook users really like something like that.

I have much experience with it...........

With some niches it works and some it doesn't.

Facebook is really starting to crack down on advertising and banning pages.

So, you can spend a while creating a page and have it banned for no reason.

so as I said... Try it... If it works for you, it works

Ive had great experience with them. its all about CTR. start with cpc. if it backs out well on the epc side and you are getting a great CTR, then switch your model to CPM. you esesentially are getting cheaper clicks. throughout Facebook's selfserve model, they are becoming more and more expensive. going more niche, doesnt allow you to have 'scaleability', but it can profit. The trick is getting both volume and niche. try to obtain a few mil in the demo if you can.

    We offer support 24/7

If you're asking this.. "can I get traffic from facebook" then yes, you can.
We get a lot of traffic from facebook as well as twitter, add the "like" plugins to your site, and make your own fanpage. No need to outsource any of this, unless you just have to much money on your hands and want to spend it..lol

Yeah, Facebook is a good Social Media Site to work with. I think it's good with the whole dating or gaming ads.. The fanpage doesn't work very well with many of the people I know.. I'd suggest you do more of your promotion on blog, forum, twitter and such.. I have heard many stories about how they don't really keep up with the new update and most people won't get it whenever you send something out to them. Good luck! Hope this helps

I think you will not get more than 8% people to be jioned to your fanpage.
    Its not a good way.

    Hi lebedev9114,

Your Facebook Group will be as popular as the value which you share through it.

Do you run a well-read blog? Every group that has grown quickly from my experience provides frequent, relevant blog updates or some other form of value which is an inventive for people to join the group. If you don't do so considering starting a blog and share your posts on your group daily. This way you create a brand, a presence which attracts more followers.

You might be able to gain a decent-sized fan club without providing real value but they won't be fans, just numbers. You can't build relationships with numbers.

Why dont you try this method. Create your fan page then visit other fan pages with over 100,000 members. Contact the page owner and ask if he can post a link to your fan page to help promote it. Once you reach 20,000 fans your page is viral and it will grow very quick.

    Good Luck!

Try to make a personal approach to your fans or members of the group. Be in touch with them by sending some great offers you provide to play the games, once a week. Also request them to add more friends for their list for playing your games or sending invites for your page on Facebook.

If its something you feel will appeal to the masses all you need to do is make your fanpage then take advantage of the "use facebook as fanpage" feature, then become a fan of and comment on fanpages that has millions of fans. Work your idea as well and you should be ok.
