Hi there, I have a site in the ADSL / Broadband niche, and I have found that there is a huge difference between the rates and how much I get paid. eg For me to bid on some words (which my site ranks well for) I would need to pay out around the $4 mark, but I am getting paid pennies. I also have a very low CTR, and I was wondering if that as well as my low PR could be where the amount paid comes from? Any help appreciated. Cheers, ADSLgeek.com
if the click is from india, bangladesh ,egypt etc you earn a few cents...if is from US, canada, germany, france, italy, denmark etc... you earn good money from the same keywords!
Also, it depends on how much traffic your site gets, Google knows this and will not pay as much to you. Additionally, you may not know this, but the placed where the ads are matters, too and also how many units you have on the page. The lesser amount of units on the page, the more money for you and they higher up on the page, the more per click. I have learned this and tested it and have found it to be very true. So don't always put all three adsense units on your page, sometimes try one near the top and you will see.
Put Google Analytics on your site. This will allow you to see where your visitors are coming from. Also the actual adsense ads that appear on your site are dependent on a number of factors so you dont necessarily get the highest payouts unless your traffic and demographic is really good.
