Yes, I will probably find a more colorful theme. It's just that I'm using the latest version of wordpress and some of the older themes don't work with it.

The site looks clean which is good, but try moving the content up towards the top with your navigation. Putting the banner advertisement in between posts will also save room on top bringing the content up.

As I read the content in your blog it sound like its written more for the parents who will be buying the toys, is this who you are trying to target or are the kids your target?

My target is parents or grandparents since children will most likely not be the one purchasing the toys.

That is what I was thinking but I wanted to check - In this case you will not have to go overboard with a color full theme, keep it clean and select just a few simple colors to make it look friendly and trustworthy.

Right now your site looks like it has 3 header parts, try to reduce that to just one. This will bring the navigation and text up which is always a good thing.

I moved it up by reducing the top margin. I also made the pics in the header graphic clickable to the categories by using an image map in the header.

Well, it is not a site, just a kind of blog. And also not looks nice in google chrome. You need more efforts on that one
