If I remember correctly the two authors of Killer Clown: The John Wayne Gacy Murrders were the detectives that actually broke the case. The book gives a detailed day by day account of their tracking of Gacy. They were actually assigned to tail him everywhere and in the end it was a television that he had stolen from one of his victims that was his undoing.
Wow, nice thread! I am a avid reader myself and it's fun to share about our passions here on DP! I read classics mostly, not many modern writer. Well, Dan Simmons could be the exception. My favorite writers are Camus (I'm french native BTW), Kafka, Homer. These days I am so into Dostoievski. Oh and let's not forget Charles Bukowski! So much knowledge I gathered through books!
I know its so great isn't it?! I have always loved books and I plan to spend my retirement years reading as much as possible. Of course my wife has other ideas LOL.
Here! I'm mostly into Chuck Palahniuk and Irvine Welsh types. I recently got into Jeff Lindsay's work because of the series. I'm also always on crimelibrary.com, which people I know disapprove of. The disturbed mind never fails to fascinate me.
