YES! internal linking is very important. First of all, it's easier for your visitors to use the site. It also tells the search engine which page on your site that a special keyword. But don't link to much 1-3 link of 500 words will be ok. And the text on the page must of course be relevant for the keyword. Example, if you have a text about the fishing industry, dont link it to the frontpage of your site if it is about SEO. But a text about Internet Marketing could easy be relevant to SEO and if you use the word "SEO" or "Search Engine Marketing" in that text is good to link those words to the frontpage (or any other page you want to optimize). But dont like too much, i usually use 1-3 links per 500 words. And it works fine. Regards, Daniel
Think of your site as a "mini web". Each page on your site will have a certain amount of authority depending on a number of factors including pagerank and the number of linking domains etc. Link to inner pages where relevant using varied and appropriate anchor texts. Contextual in content links are generally better. Avoid footer links as these can be seen as spammy. Like the previous post said. Think of your users as well. Make it relevant for them, not just the engines. Also remember that the structure of your site is important. The deeper the page, the less pagerank it will have and less chance it will have of being indexed. Link to your most important pages(sub pages) from your most popular and powerful pages on your site, so generally the homepage and other pages that have a lot of external link juice. Internal links pass juice much like external links. Good luck.
Yes internal linking is very important for that keyword pages. If u want inner page page keyword come in ranking from that pages at that time anchor tag on that keyword of that pages.

Internal linking plays an important role in getting your internal pages indexed and ranking for those pages in search engines. Google provides page rank to main page which is having good quality back links. for example if your home page is having good PR and few internal pages are linked with that page them some part of link juice is passed to those pages (if the link is a do follow link) and if those pages are also linked other internal pages then some link juice is also passed to those pages as well. So through this you all the pages can have some link juice and Google robot penetration on those pages which will help in getting those pages indexed. It is always advisable to have a good navigation on the site and having a good internal linking.
