forum installed in /forum or in root which is better.

i want to start a site with one blog(wp) and one forum(vb).
as i could not install both in root directory what should i do??
install both in different directories e.g
vb in /forum
and
wp in /sms

or any one either wp or vb in root directory and other in a /forum or /sms directory??

please help me which is best for seo and search engine indexing??

For me, these is the best setup:

Main Blog = Root
Forum = /Forum

 

If i install forum in root directory and blogs in sub catagories will it be better?
because my main project is forum.??

You mean you want the FORUM to be on the FRONTPAGE instead of the BLog?

is the FORUM related to the BLOG? if not, maybe it's much better to put them on a separate domain.

no no blog is about sms messages.
and forum is about everything like itdunya.com .
so i think i must install forum in home directory.

 

I think...Subdomain is much better ^_^

eg. SMS.IT-PK.COM

then your forum is on Root Directory.

i now planed that i will just install forum at it-pk.com and buy a new domain for sms messages forum.
