    Just got this:
    Hello xxxx,

In regards to your inquiry, payments of verified revenues on terminated accounts should be expected to be generated in the normal payment cycle following the period 90 days from the date of termination. Taking this timeframe into consideration, your payment of any verified revenues should be generated in the September 25 payment period. You should expect to see delivery of this payment within 10 business days via US Mail. We apologize for the confusion.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

    Sincerely,

    xxxx

Sounds good :] Will post later when this arrives.

when YPN first started their program a guy i used to work with made about 15K in 1 month. then they cancelled his account due to foriegn traffic (go figure), and after spending a few hours on the phone with someone at yahoo he managed to still get a check for about 8K (his US based clicks) even after they had terminated his account. they do pay, but they have some pretty stupid rules for their program. I'm not sure if their policy has changed at all since this was when they first launched the program, but he got about half of his money.

Wow this is really bad on Yahoo., WHy do they cancell the acount for foreign clicks.,

instead they can let the users have an alternate banner which can be shown to foreign users instead of the YPN ads., ?

this was a major issue with my co worker, and Yahoo offered no solution. He couldnt' control the traffic his site received, so why should he be penalized for having a site with international traffic?

Because they are in beta and its their program so they set the rules.

They don't want international clicks, which is pretty common in online advertising, and as of now its the publishers responsibility to take care of that.

    ok then ribo,

How long do they anticipate being in beta? by my count it's been about 10 months. I personally stick with AdSense on my sites becuase I don't have to try and filter out traffic, and worry about being banned from their network. So if this is Yahoo's gameplan they better rethink their playbook if they want to become any kind of competitor to Google. The internet is an international market, and if they don't want to accomodate that then they are bound to fail.

He can't control the traffic but he could easily control who the ads are served to. If he only served them to US/Canadian visitors, he would still have his account.

In fact if he was smart he would have served Yahoo to the US/Canadian visitors and AdSense to all the rest (It is within the TOS to use the two on one site as long as they aren't displayed on a page together)

Pretty poor thinking on Yahoo's part to expect thousands of publishers to each implement geotargeting instead of doing the filtering once in one place, the backend at Yahoo. Maybe Yahoo's programmers are up to it.
