I've bought this card like a month ago , But I was surprised to see it giving me a maximum of 60 frames / second almost in every game . So anyway to increase it ? And on these games it gave an average of 45 - 50 FPS * Prototype * Assassin's Creed II * Dead space I wonder why the benchmarks show it giving much higher rates than 60 fps in most of games I complain about . My Specification : 650 Watt power supply 2 GB DDR3 Ram E7500 processor .
You could throw in another gig of RAM. You can also see if there's a hardware vsync option that has been turned on.
Yeah when I closed Vsync in Prince of Persia the forgotten sands I got an average of 130 FPS , But in Assassin's creed 2 it remained the same around 45 - 50 FPS Because it wasn't limited by the Vsync .
The only problem I have is that In some games like PES 2010 I get 60 FPS constant not increasing or decreasing even after I turned off Vsync . Though 60 FPS is playable and no single lag but I love to see numbers like 150 - 200 on the top
dude why did u buy an old model card? ATI 5870 or Nvidia GTX400 series would be awesome and Dx11 supported
It's odd that you're still stuck at a certain FPS even with vsync disabled. You turned it off both from the hardware side (if you have that option) and in-game, correct? If so, then what resolution and settings are you running the game at?
I know some game engines have a physical limit that can not be passed up, regardless of what kind of hardware your running. Are you sure that you can get past 40 - 50 fps with Assassin's creed 2? Wasn't that game released on the console platform first, and then ported to the PC? So maybe 40 - 50 fps is all it was designed for.
On Dead space & prototype turning off vsync gave me average of 120 FPS , Assassin's creed II still stuck at that rate 45 - 50 , Pes 2010 turning off vsync made no change still 60 fps not decreasing and not increasing So I guess game is also fixed at that rate . So the problem is from games now , thanks for noting out . Thanks for the note about Assassin's creed II , Also people who have Ati HD 5870 Say that it's at 45 - 50 fps also .
