Hey Oxuro! You may want to check time settings on proxiville.com because: "The last proxy was added on 01-Jan-1970 02:00:00 +0200". ;-) Regards, vahing
Oh ... what the heck? who did submit a proxy site to my list back from the 70's? (did the time travels in time started already? ) Thanks for that bug report vahing i will fix that asap
I have to say that I'm extremely displeased with WDServer's performance. Yesterday, the server went offline around 7:00pm. I emailed him three separate ways, and MSNed him. The server didn't go back online until around 4am - simply because he wasn't there to reboot it. I wasn't able to do anything about it, either, I just had to wait and answer angry client tickets. I'll be looking to switch providers - I may even go back to ServInt. While it is expensive and I won't get nearly the profit I would with a cheap FDCServer, I know their service is good.
I also used to be with WDServers and it was a nightmare. Not only did they take up to 8 hours for rebooting a server once, but they were also the most unfriendly service ever. The guy running WDServers went over the top when he almost shouted at me when I approached him on MSN for a RAM upgrade. At that stage I decided to quit with WD Servers once and for all. I now have a dedicated server with ThePlanet, and things changed to the better.
There is a small chance you would get approved by Smowtion, and Adbrite is a sure bet although the former pays better.
Ooh. I tried to place Adbrite ads on both the front page and the proxified page. At first it showed that it needed to wait 3 hours or so. Then later on, I only see the "Your Ad Here" text and not even the banner box anymore :/ Anyone has this kind of problem before or know how to fix it? Thank you.
It is absolutely normal that Adbrite displays ads only about after 3 hours. When you create ad zones with Adbrite they also mention it. When Adbrite ads show "Your Ad Here" it simply means that their fill rate is not sufficient for displaying ads on your site, or that their ad auction systems has no bids in your niche. When you create Adbrite ad zones you are also given the opportunity to change "Your Ad Here" to something else more convenient to you.
Yes but now you're only talking about the market segment of 'schools' and 'students'. A lot of people still go to work where proxies are also necessary, anonymous surfers and many many more. Depends on your advertising and chosen keywords. If you rank for "unblock sites at school" then it's likely that there will be less proxy traffic. But remember that there is always a demand for proxiex big enough to make a lot of money from!
((http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=399487&page=914#post14031590)) Last time any proxies on surfitproxy.com were approved was Fri 11 Jun 2010. That's almost one month time! I feel being fooled by you , you get the link from my proxies (you retain PR) and do nothing for proxy owners. If you don't approve proxies asap and regularly, then I wont submit any proxies any more, and I hope fellow proxy owners will follow suit.
Well, I own about 300 proxies and been in biz long enough. During this time of the year we generally see a decline in proxy traffic. This is due to school holidays and working people in the northern hemisphere taking holidays as well.
@xternall , vahing is right. At summer season you better be ready to face a great drop in traffic. The greatest source of proxy users (at least the one that you should aim for) comes from US and that time of year they are having their school vacations (as far that i know) among with he rest EU countries. Unless you have a different target group on which you focus on this time of year is time for testing Not to forget to mention the spring break that the US students are having , plus the Christmas holidays as well. cheers
