How to get indexed in Google for a new domain?

    Heya,

It seems that I've been asking for a lot of help lately here in DP. :p

The truth is that I just purchased my very first .com domain and I pointed my Blogger blog to the domain. This is my new blog:

    http://www.travellingdestinations.com

I have bought this domain just recently and on the next months I am going to do some good SEO on it. But first, I want to get it indexed asap. What do you think guys, what is the first step in order to get a better page rank as soon as possible?

Yes, I am sure of that. But I wanted to get more practical answers.

What do you think guys, what is the first step in order to get a better page rank as soon as possible?

That's what I asked as well. So I am also asking what to do next while I still have the time as my domain is new, apart from asking how to get indexed. Any answer would be appreciated, guys!

You can get it indexed quickly by putting a link to your site on sites that get cached often such as this forum or Digg. Digging your site and putting a link to your site in your signature will get it indexed pretty quick.

Do you mean it loads slowly or it does not load at all?

The easiest way - get links, upload your sitemap to them

I don't think that's something to worry about. It does load to me, but I bought the domain less than 10 hours ago. They told me it would take 24-78 hours for the blog to be pointed to the new domain. I believe the problem should be solved in 2-3 days hopefully. On the meantime, other people, please tell me whether the blog is loading to you or not.

You are right. I did some digging and this seems to be a DNS problem. So, it just takes some time before the DNS changes are effective across the internet.

Thanks for confirming that! I also checked it on Google Webmaster Tools. At least, now I can have a good night sleep. Good night fellas!

You're only going to see your pagerank update 3 times a year. Only links will affect your pagerank.

As for getting it indexed, just build links to your site.

If you have a lot of friends, you can ask all your friends to visit your website. Because I believe that if I lot of people click your website, Google will index it.

You blog does load up well... and your putting the link to it in your post as well as in your signature space here... should ideally help it in getting indexed, fairly quickly! :)

You should try WordPress, I personally think it is better than Blogger. It gets crawled an indexed better, and is an overall more popular platform. My WordPress blogs get indexed very quickly.

The are several ways, but I would focus on gaining links from quality websites, social bookmarking and pinging your website. Be sure not to overdo the pinging, sites can be penalized for this.

Yes sure but my blog is Adsense focused and as far as I am concerned, you cannot integrate Adsense into Wordpress. Or can I?

    Nevermind, it's too late now!

Thanks, pinging seems quite risky, don't know if I can take such a risk... :O
