I want to know if some one wants to optimize a website for very competitive keywords like travel, finance and ... 1) Can he use of blackhat seo techniques? 2) Will he become successful only by using white hat seo?
black hat SEO ? if you gonna try and use it , then done be surprised if your blog gets sandboxed in the later stages . I would recommend to go with simple white hat methods and enjoy moderate traffic.
There are smart ways to use black hat seo techniques to make them look white. Newbies only make the mistake of spamming.
Don't do it, don't think about it, don't be tempted. The short term pay off might be ok, but long term you will be damaging yourself. Also Black Hat SEO does not work for competitive terms. Yes. It has nothing to do with cash. The only two things you need are time and knowledge. We recently made it to page 1 for a very competive keyword, and we have not spent a cent on SEO. Just to give you an idea with some statistics; We now have over 5000 QUALITY backlinks, (meaning, they all come from similarly high ranked web pages, optimised to our keywords), we have over 500 pages of top content, all with high levels of backlinks etc. Also it has taken us close to 12 months of constant work to get where we are.
