I set up a bodybuilding website about 1 year ago with the domain 2 years old. www.corefitnessmuscles.com Please review this website and give me some feedback about the site. Please list improvements, advice, tips etc
U had said that your site is two year old but its still in outranked page try to be push your site up in ranking be sure your content is not copied and make article plz try to me in ranking high in Google that keeps your site view in better
Design is very good. Just one thing. When I roll over button color of button and it's text are very similar and it's hard to read. Also about content. I think you have to upload some serious books to your site instead of those ...tips. My English is not very good but enough to see that those tips are not useful. PR 4 is not so bad P.S. Powerlifting rulezzz
Petro i think the problem is my template because it only allows me a limited mount of catergories. So i added a dropp down to my sidebar lol. Its hard to get the balance right between free templates, looking good and seeing content. I have been seriously makreting it in the last month only. The rank has gone up from 5million to under 1 million alexa so i think im doing ok. Thanks guys for advice
Your website is actually pretty well organized in my opinion - bellows are a few suggestions I did have: 1. Adjusting Flash: Allowing visitors to stop, play, and select slides easily will engage visitors and reduce frustration (currently "featured Articles" tab does not clearly explain is purpose or function - Some images make the text harder to read than others. Making your text block solid would help keep the readability consistent amongst a wide variety of images. Making the text block clickable would be helpful too. For usability it is common for websites to display visual slide cues with numbered circles for each slide, these cues typically change color for a clear indication that this number is associated with this slide, they also include a Pause and Play button just in case the visitor needs to slow it down to read the text in full.) 2. Where do I sign up for the news letter and other updates? If you’re consistently adding articles with tips and advice you may want to have a form for capturing email addresses. This way you can start to create a mailing list - in your monthly emails you could include article blips letting your followers know you've added new content for them to take a look at bringing them back to your website. You could put a simple sign up form below the video on your home page. 3. Back ground color: There is nothing wrong with your background but running split tests on your website may reveal that a simple white background will outperform the solid green one. Right now almost everything on your website is green. 4. Meta Title: If possible use a unique Meta Title for ever page of your site and reduce its size from: “BodyBuilding Blog | Fitness Tips & BodyBuilding articles, muscle videos and fitness products, bodybuilding store, fitness reviews, bodybuilding documentar†- to something simple and focused like: "Body Building Blog | Fitness Tips From the Pros" Simple and short Title Tags tend to do better in the search engines, plus they stand out more in the search results leading to a higher click though. Stuffing the Title will not help your organic rankings. In my experience using just one or two keywords in the title will give you the best results. Hope this helps! - Ryan
Wow motoboy there are some good suggestions here. The email newsletter is a good idea but i have been finding it hard to make alot of money with my website and email newletters costs alot of money to start. If anybody could suggest a email newsletter service or free programmes to use with yahoo mail accounts. I also heard about the meta title being shorter will improve the seo. Ill change that now i think.
Give mailchimp.com a try for your news letters - they even have a form builder you can use to collect email addresses. You can also use Wufoo.com to build a free form for collecting email addresses, and they do link to mailchimp.
I love this layout, but sliding images must be fixed, and keep all thing balance, like Categories below content gallery must be balanced. and PUT the page rank and hit counter in the end.
The website is good indeed. Body building is so important for the well being of an individual. Information on bench press is good.
can "muscle diet gains six pack ab abs abdominals core fitness protein nutrition build howto" really be a tag? You have a couple of stray chars at the top "> Code (markup): It looks nice, but since its wordpress theres not much that can go wrong.
How do i change the code "> u can see it at the top left corner if u look carefully andi want to add my keywords here instead.
1. The tags could have links to pages with all the posts that have those tags 2. I think there are too many blocks on the right hand side - do you need a heading for Google page rank, Hit counter and the categories dropdown - to be honest I would take all these off entirely they are not required (you have 3 places where the user can select category and the page rank and hit counters do not help) 3. The adverts on the righ could be tidied up aswell as the social links 4. this is a realy good plugin for wordpress - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/ - it displays similar posts below the current posts. 5. on http://www.corefitnessmuscles.com/body-building-store/ - link to some specific products - if you can put some reviews and information on the products as well this will imporve you conversions and click throughs.
