you will need to test the page with an seo tool to see if the links are no-follow.

To get links into rss then you need to talk on a page that has rss or create your own rss feed. i dont think rss is really used for back links

    This is an example of a nofollow link <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.domainname.com">Domain Name</a>
This is an example of a dofollow link <a href="http://www.domainname.com">Domain Name</a>

Nofollow links blocks crawlers to follow through that specific link with the nofollow HTML attribute while dofollow links is vice versa.

If you can get your visitors return to your website and have the chance to have them linkback to you then yes, RSS can be a useful backlink. Get your visitors to subscribe to your feed and if they like what your posting then they'll be the one who'll submit your content to social bookmarks or the sort and viola! a backlink!

I think that there are tools on the web that you can use that will tell you which type of link it is.

If you want to drive traffic to your website through Google, then you need to watch out for do-follow and no-follow links.

No-follow links are not counted by search engines and do-follow links are counted (for backlinks).

If you want to get back links, and use Google to get traffic, then you would only comment on do-follow blogs.

You can check for no-follow and do-follow links by the NoDoFollow Firefox Add on.

I you do not care about getting traffic through search engines, then you do not need to consider the no-follow and do-follow links.
