I guess using frames or tables is not a problem and don't hurt a site from seo aspect.

Choosing Iframe option is one of the worst SEO Practices you should use Div or Tables for better Search Engine Optimizations!

Because in Frame pages the base file remains the constant in fact the outer pages gets changed in which pure information related to SEO....! The Search Engine only reads Base File.... if you use frames technique no more internal link building and social bookmarking wont work on it

They have definitely not good idea because frames are not much SEO friendly. Maybe they should come up with new web design that has cleaner and the contents are well presented both to users and SE bots..

As per my knowledge I suggest you to remove frame structure from their site. This is completely against SEO friendly. As per my knowledge all frames have their own URL. So, it really becomes difficult for any search engine to crawl the whole page with single URL.

It's better to suggest a new web design structure. A content inside a frame is not readable by search engines.

I would recommend a site redesign as frames are deadly for SEO, out of date and just difficult to work with.

But if you must try to optimize the framed site, you can use noframes tags to show search engines the content inside the frames. Copy the information from the framed sections into the main frame file. This should let the spiders pick the content up.

Wow...I would never use a frame site because I think they are navigation nightmares..but I had no idea they were also SEO poison! Very interesting and good to know..

If you mean is SEO for frame site difficult, yes it is! A redesign into an SEO friendly CMS or just html would almost always be a better option.

iFrames are horrible for SEO. The most obvious reason is that you don't have unique pages for your content; so:

    1) How will you build links to your content pages?
    2) How will Google index your content?

    1 - I'm not sure...

2 - By using noframe tags with sample content inside. But search engines won't index links inside noframes tag so best to go for a new website!

    Tables are terrible for SEO.

Convert the frame site to Apache SSI.
