I like the simple layout, however some images would help make the site more appealing as the homepage is very text heavy at the moment.

 

Yes, The layout is really simple, you need to improve your site from the graphics point of view, since the only way people get attracted is by having the look at site if your site is just a blog and not selling or providing any service.
Place some images and flashes in the Title and place a good image on the top of the site with name included in it.

I think it will help you.

As others told you the design is simple and suitable.
The search button is not working well. Maybe you have to install some plugins.

 

lol plugins, it's not wordpress I wrote the CMS myself.

for the articles that you have on your site i suggest that you include images by the side so it would be the title of the article, a bit of the articles text and an image relating to your article that is the only suggestion i have but the rest looks good, do you earn any revenue from this site?

Which banner?

Yes that's what I've decided to do, I just need to add a row to the db for article thumbs and then make them for all the articles I currently have.

The site has been up since the beginning of June and I think I've made around $15 - 20 so far
