Which OS is better for gaming

as windows series is considered,you can go for windows 7,
it really works better for games.Graphics looks superb.

I would say that no OPS is better than windows for gaming purpose and a processor like
Core 2 Duo E7400 - 2.8Ghz
3GB Ram
is much enough for gaming.

 

k i read ur problem and the comments,You've got a pretty good machine and i think with these specs you should go for Xp because the with the latest directX,it's equivalent to dx10 but it consumes far less memory resouces(GPU and CPU) as compared to Vista and Win 7.And you can oc your resources to get more response but don't forget to install latest cooling technologies.

Well windows XP as it supports all the games .

 

I think XP is the best version of Windows for gaming ever built. Windows 7 has some problems running old games, but Windows XP runs all the games no matter old or new. So Windows XP is better for Gaming in my opinion.

Windows XP is probably the best for gaming but if you do have a Mac then you should use Parallels Desktop to duel boot. That's what I've done.

Windows 7 has been great. I highly suggest it if you have a strong enough computer.

 

Steam for mac in its current build sucks, once that comes along there will be a lot of inter-compatibility when it comes to choosing an OS for gaming. With any solid multi-core CPU though, Windows 7 wins by far. Farther than XP even.
