Hey - just noticed. There is a typo in your signature. "Web Desing" should be "Web Design". I like your forum by the way - very clean layout. Also, how are you doing in the Text Link Ads affiliate program? It seems like one of the more popular link buying services.
thanks for the signature notice and forum comments hehe as for text link ads .... referrals are zero but I sold 4 links with them already ....
That's not bad at all. Can you tell if the purchases are for a single month or extended period? I tend to think that when people purchase links they should ensure that they keep them in place at least until a visible PR update occurs.
yep they were purchased for extended period. Of course link should be there for longer .... I think at least 6 months
The one problem with your suggestion is after 6 months when you lose that link, and then some time after you will lose the PR attained from the link.. but with vbseo, you'll have it forever my money is with the long term offer.. you can do what you wish though, best of luck
man you are mixing things up ! There is no connection between vbseo and PR ... you really think that vbseo will get you higher pr or that with unvbseod forum you will loose PR ? .... you are starting to mix things up and you didn't really read what I wrote about short-term high PR link did you ... read again !
actually I did read what you said.. I'm not mixing anything up did you read what I said ? what part did I say vbseo will help with pr ? some of these anti-vbseo guys crack me up..heh p.l.u.r.
I read what you said. I'll even help you by quoting it. Once again, your credibility is shown to be non existant. Go figure. :/ You can't stay away despite saying you will, can you? But I'm gald you keep coming back. You are funny. The Boss successfully got the thread off topic since there were no good arguments he could mount other then a sales pitch. His fan club blew it. With help like that, I'd quit!
Actually - vBSEO will definitely help with PageRank. Check out how nicely PageRank is distributed at vbseo.com. Now, I'll just step out of the way while you guys trade jabs.
Pagerank is all but meaningless.... I never got one visitor because of pagerank.... I have PR4 sites that rank #1 and PR6 sites that are nowhere in the serps.
OK, I'll bite. How does page rank help traffic? Can you quantify that for me since I'm not an expert?
What if you tell the bots not to crawl/index certain pages on your forum so as to distribute PR between important pages only. What does vBSEO do above & beyond this with regard to Pagerank?
Wow - you guys are fast. You startled me coming in that quickly. I spilled my coffee. The algorithms have certainly changed from the days when manipulations could be achieved simply by running up PageRank with automated spambots on guestbooks, etc. If that still worked I could retire early and spend my days on a beach with a laptop, trolling over at vbulletin-faq to keep myself assumed. Kidding. FYI vBSEO is strictly "whitehat". Toolbar PageRank is best used to evaluate *trends* in PageRank changes. We should consider it correlated to "what lies beneath", i.e. all that stuff inside the Google blackbox that powers the SERPs (from indexing to crawling to ranking). Whether you believe it has limited to significant effects, I do not believe any webmaster would be upset by an increase in PageRank. Recent indications are that having an increased PageRank (not just on the homepage, but also on internal pages) can impact the *crawling priority* for a site. How often will they crawl & how deeply. For small, relatively static, content sites this may not be a big deal. But for content-rich web assets like forums, this is very important. They change frequently (i.e. we need the SE bots to crawl them more often) and they have a huge amount of user generated content (we need the SE bots to find it all). Of course link building and anchor text variation is important. Obviously, it's building links that powers PageRank in the first place. The key point is that SEO is about *optimization*. Take advantage of everything at your disposal. This discussion has been recently focused on vBSEO's contribution to PageRank: vBSEO increases PageRank on many forum pages significantly. This is largely due to eliminating duplicate paths (URLs) to the same content, building link consensus, and (of course) having static CRUs (content relevant URLs). But vBSEO is an SEO solution. The best way to get a more complete sense of what it includes is to check out the vBSEO Demo. Oh - and, just in case you're the last one that hasn't heard, we introduced new linkbuilding features called linkbacks into vBSEO version 3.0 including trackbacks (2-way), pingbacks (2-way), and refbacks (1-way) that (along with our social bookmarking features) will help make the process of linkbuilding just a bit easier. BTW One commonly overlooked value of PageRank is it's effect on users. Users who pay attention to the Toolbar PageRank may tend to believe that higher PR is an indication of authority on a topic. This can help improve retention and decrease rapid "Back" button clicks. That's all for now. I'm have to go re-fill that coffee that Joey and noppid made me spill.
Here's one I'd like to see explained. For this query in google. "by vbseo" -site:vbulletin.org -site:vbseo.com -site:vbulletin.com But wouldn't the truth be... "SEO by vBSEO" -site:vbulletin.org -site:vbseo.com -site:vbulletin.com
The text of branding notice varies. So your query focusing only on SEO by vBSEO, naturally, only returns a fractional portion of the larger total. Well, since you noted that you are not an expert, it might not help much to give you too much detail to digest right now. Take it for what you want, but vbseo bought me that car. Prior to vbseo installation, I was earning about 300 a month profit on 1 site. Now, I'm earning about 1200 a month profit on that site. my $850 car payment, is completely paid for by one of my websites, because vbseo increased my traffic 3-fold, and with it, page views quituppled, and ad impressions followed. So, oh please, stop hating on something that obviously works. next year, vbseo will be buying me a 4500 sq ft house. wait for the thread............
