i guess it is how you define it? obviously PR is constantly changing, different datacenters give different results, you can even get two people seeing different results off the same datacenter because of the confubbling normalization.. aside from the recent supplemental, big daddy and new crawler problems, i havent witnessed any big google changes that i'd call a dance..

I have to agree with thetafferboy. PR is constantly changing, it's not as if Google shuts down its PR calculator for 3 weeks, then starts it up for a new check. It's a constant system, but perhaps for many it is only reflected every so often. I am guessing the stronger your PR gets, the more often you are spidered, and the more often your PR may change.

I've seen the same thing... my site: page count went down to 3 pages and then jumped back up to the original number... except, it clearly isn't because they spidered and re-indexed because the cached content is all old. So it's like they tried making a change and then rolled back...

At this point, I do not think they ever will. It is unfortunate, but I am beginning to believe that they may be off in too many directions. Fiber, WiFi, etc... Some lovely articles in "Information Week" about them on these fronts. My advice? Stick to what you know and continue to do that well.

Unfortunately, I'm only seeing the increased returns using the site: operator in just a couple of DC's now.

    64.233.189.104 is one of them

So, it's not a matter of them "having" the data, it's a matter of them being unable or unwilling to make it go live.

Odd... The Hitler Picture Blog seems to be doing just fine in Google. But then again, I guess they do not have an Warez links, or dup content. Well they really don't have any content.

I've really got to rethink how I structure web sites.

Same here. A lot my indexed pages were removed, but when i clicked on "show similar pages" they do show up. I didn't do any blackhat either. The only change i have made as far as i can remember is that, i used template on every pages. That is the only thing i have done before they removed some of my pages from their index.

Same here @MikeSwede. I'm curious, how often does Google update their cache?
