If that idiot believes that then why is he tradiing(selling lots of oil) to his so called devil? Would you make any deal with the devil? Chavez is a tyrant and is a lot like the poor who win the lottery. They always try to mimic the prosperous, but always with horrific results! The USA built up their wealth through hard work. Without oil money Chavez is just a poor fool, but with money he is still a fool, but dangerous!
It's not uncommon to hear about people wanting to leave that country...it's going nowhere. I had some Venezuelian lady asking me about immigrating elsewhere...unfortunately I could only help here so much with general directions and choses. She was a teacher. To love Hugo Chaves is to love: Not the greatest company. I don't like Bush's policies, but I'm not about to like a moron.
New York times today: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/21/w...75e36c799&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss Chomsky, (alive and 77), was shocked to hear of his own passing.
The three most dangerous people in the world in order of merit: 1) The Daddy 2) The Hawk 3) The Chump Looking at their lovely portraits you would think butter wouldn't melt in their mouths too. I admire Chavez, Ahmadinejad and especially Castro because they do not take no s**t.
so is this your axis of evil? weak. yeah, Castro is good b/c his country is still living in what 1960?? Put me down for any country that people are willing to risk life & limb - leaving on a floating wood door just for a chance at something better.
Do you even know what a tyrant is or are you just throwing out words you think sound cool to put him down with? He won an election that the people of the country voted on. I love how you morons call everyone who opposes bush a dictator or a tyrant when their elections are probably more genuine then ours
I have been dead twice. It's quite the experience. I'm not kidding. The phone calls to our house as a result were interesting. Do I smell sulfer?
Sort of like calling our government fascist.....didn't someone do that here? *thinking man's pose* I believe your looking for the word 'rhetoric', which often means 'exaggeration'. Chavez has said a few times that me might not have another election again (something to the amount of: 'the people have spoken', which is a Casto-like comment)...whether or not he lives up to that is another thing. He has notable sent in military officials to nationalize his oil fields...not a friendly thing. Doesn't make him a 'tyrant' perse, but he isn't exactly Ms Butterfield. Castro is a tyrant,...I'll say that firmly. Chavez is taken a similiar approach to things, minus the violence of starting Castro's Revolution. He's slowly taking away powers...but it's a wee-bit harder for him, because there's an ingrained coalition of powerful/rich folks there, and the I'm sure the US has it's head peaked in (but that's just an assumption). I doubt the people would give up what the once had in Venezuela with out a lot of time. Some people there a fairly good and descent folk....I wish them well.
Once again, yo proves that the only valid elections are the ones where someone he likes wins! http://www.nysun.com/article/719?access=488379 More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venezuelan_recall_referendum,_2004 Yo, always so quick to support the anti-american dictators (yep, that's pretty much what he is) at every turn. Typical; and expected.
I can't comment on Chavez, but I was thinking about his buddy Castro. He is the longest reigning ruler of a country...I think 47 years. His country is impoverished and people still try and escape....often by taking dangerous efforts. I'd say Castro is a simple dictator that has done little if nothing for his country and retarded its progress over the last 1/2 century. Whatever you think about politics, power spread around the world, etc. the evidence is that he is a crappy little dictator in a country that has retarded and hampered the growth of his country and the well-being of the population. Chavez has good friends!
Chavez came to the US and spoke freely on US soil. That is AMERICA. The hypocrisy here and what makes him a tyrant is the fact that while he exercised FREEDOM of Speech in the US, his own citizens back home are not afforded that right. Interesting. Bush won an election that the people of our country voted on. Not once but TWICE. Yet you would support someone who calls a freely elected president of a representative republic a tyrant, nazi, dictator and whatever else you have wildly ranted in the past. Strange... I remember being this young, but not quite this naive. Ironically two leading democrats Rangle and Pelosi both ripped Chavez a new rear end yesterday as a result of his childish rantings. Chavez is a dirt bag. To deny that fact is almost certainly asinine
I don't even like the sound of tyrant, is it cool to say it?! Webster's dictionary-tyrant=an absolute ruler, oppressive ruler=Hugo Chavez, Hitler, and many other dictators! You know Sadam never lost an election either, neither did Hitler. Yo-Yo if you had bet in Vegas on them winning you would be a rich man!(I would take that bet all day long!) Read about how corrupt their elections were! It isn't hard to win an election when people are afraid to vote against you! Huggo Chavez is a YoYo....opps sorry Yo-Yo!
After the 2008 elections, GWB will no longer be president. Chavez? Well he has already begun to pass a law to overturn the constitution in this country to extend his term. Let's see who trys to stick around, and who leaves?
