Super high CTR? Will Google get angry?

I wonder, I just got a site up , and I got about ~150 uniques and it got a CTR of 31.37% ... 153 impressions and 48 clicks for it's first day.

Will Google get angry at me if it's a too high CTR. Will it think that it's fraud? Cause it's not fraud!

    PLZ advise.:(

How do you know its not fraud, do you usually have this kind of CTR, or could it have been a click happy user?

Send Adsense Support an email asap and let them know.

I know it because it's a new site , that users find very interesting, and the links from adsense are very relevent. So I hope it's not fraud, cause I got statcounter and it shows me that it's not the same user that clicks.

No, but it shows the unique visitors that come to your site, and their country of origin, their screen res, their ip, etc etc. That's why.

Ya, but how do you know one of them didn't click 20 times then leave.

Because statcounter shows the hits per user, and none of them got more than 3-4 clicks. They use the tool on the site, click on the ads and go away. One even came from hotmail, meaning that someone used the 'send to friend' feature to bring in others to use it.

Its possible to open the ad in a new window, or press the back button on the browser, which will result in a cache version of your paged being used and your statcounter not being reloaded.

Why not just email Support and be on the safe side?

I'm afraid of contacting them. I'm afraid that they might block me because they find it suspicious that I even ask about it. :(

3 or 4 clicks per user for multiple users on your first day? Haha. I can't wait for your "Why was I banned from Adsense?" thread.

I would send them an email saying something like "I had a slightly high CTR today I just wanted to contact you and let you know that I have seen no odd activity in my server logs and I think that it is because my site is brand new and the users are seing the ads for the first time. Please let me know if there is any odd activity within my account today so I can take appropriate action against users that may have caused this.

    Thanks,
    Name"

Or you could just wait and see.

I'm sure google has stats of whos clicking your ads...They keep track of that kind of stuff.

By the way, I'm curious myself to see your ad that's getting a huge CTR!

If your traffic is purely original then there is no need to worry even if you get 200% ctr. :)

I actually launched a site about a month ago that has been doing about 40% ctr for the past week or so, no joke. 90% of the traffic is from Google and I was wondering the same thing. Can anyone give input on their own high CTR sites?

    Google is very nasty.

if they see unusual CTR they will ban your account.

Make sure some one is not just clicking on your site to make you banned.

    Thanks
