Hi guys, I am fairly new to the adsense world and to web traffic marketing. Who in here uses meta tags in their sites? Do they really make a diffrence for traffic elevations? Are there any pages that can really instruct me how to do this? I am know I am posting a lot here, but I just want to learn from you guys. Ed P.S. What are other good techniques to increases traffic to your pages?
There's a lot of other helpful posts along these lines in the forums - I'd try search. Briefly, meta tags are, eh. Some search engines use them a little, but they're definitely not going to hit a home run for you in any of the major search engines. They're helpful for defining the basic content of the site, and for that I'd look around a bit, but more than that, you're not getting a whole lot. As for your PS, search it out
Meta tags certainly aren't as important as they used to be, but I still use them on my sites, I figure it can't hurt so you might as well add them

Thanks Guys for the info....So where exactly do you put the tag? Under the title or where? How will it not show in my page after I put it in HTML? Sorry if I sound dumb, I am just learning all of this.. Ed
best way to see how meta tags work is to go to a site. Click View then Source and you will see exactly how it should be structured. For example take a look at mine at www.ideliverit.com or www.fleetcars.info Regards, Col
