i recently moved an article from my old blog to my new blog. I did this by deleting the post on my old blog and posting it on my new one. Will this cause any problems with google

If you can redirect your old blog to your new one by using 301 redirect.

hmm, I can't say for sure but I would think it's possible Google may see it as duplicate content, at least at first

I think you might need to build backlinks for your new blog posts and let search engines index them more quickly since search engines would treat the same contents as duplicated ones and might not indexed them.

    all the best,

Implement a 301 redirect from your old blog to the new one, this way Google will recognise that you have moved everything to a new blog, permanently. That way, you'll avoid having duplicate penalty issues with Google.

You need to build links to your new blog and add it to the search engines.
But Why did you changed your blog?
Have you faced any problems with google ?
Overall Good luck in your business.

I'm not sure also but I think that fall as duplicate content of your old site. Although your post on old site was deleted but the content that is now indexed by google is from old site, your new post will still a duplicate content.

thanks for all the responses. I will look into the 301 redirect but i am not very techincal so i don't know if i can do that. Does anybody know of an easy way to do that? because that would be great if i could keep my pages indexed in google

And to answer your question, i had to change my blog because it had the word youtube in it and that is a copyright problem

Where is you new blog hosted? Still on blogger or WP? I think redirecting from Blogger to Wordpress is possible however you do not use the .htaccess file.

What you can do is to put a meta refresh on your old blogger that would redirect to your new blogger. Here's how to do it. Hope that helps.
