How are Page Rank and google search engine traffic related. If i have a quality PR like 3 or so, will i get more traffic?
In my experience I have seen search ranking increase while page ranks actually goes down so it doesn’t always go hand in hand. Another factor is Google will not rank your site well right away no matter how good the content ect it will usually take 90 to 180 days to start ranking well for a new site if everything is done correctly. In your case you happen to have quality content plus good inbound links and PR so you have all these factors working together in your favor so your improved search ranking doesn’t surprise me
Google Page Rank factors are given below: 1. Traffic for the Page, 2. Quality Content, 3. Quality Backlinks, 4. Navigation, 5. Image Optimization, (if Image is appear) 6. Video Optimization. (if Video is appear) Google Search Engine Traffic factors are given below: 1. Quality Content & Unique Content, 2. Quality Backlinks, 3. Traffic, 4. Nil Broken links, 5. Nil CSS & HTML Errors, ETC…
They are related . but having high PR is not equal having more traffic . there are many other factors for ranking results .
There is no such relation between page rank and traffic. If your search engine rankings are high then your traffic will increase.
Pagerank is not a major thing in traffic, but unique content is the main thing for getting good traffic. I always look blogs and sites that have pagerank 1-5, but very rarely in the first page of google search.
If your grandma 80 years old how much did you have income the last month? Grandmother is PR - Income is Traffic
Exactly. Historically pages with a high PR tend to rank better, but it is only a single factor of many that Google considers when ranking a website.
As of now... PR has little or no significance in the serp rankings but you can never front run the tactics of google. Seeing PR becoming less and less important in the eyes of people, it might increase its weight age in the serp algorithm... sooner than later! Regards, RightMan
I respectfully disagree 100%. I think PR DOES have a big input on your SERP's and the trust level of your site. In the MayDay update, there was speculation that PR would be passed to long tailed URL's to boost the viability in SERPs. Google any keyword, and tell me why there is always a high PR site on top? Not saying high PR = high SERP's, but they DO work hand and hand IMHO.
PR and rankings don't correlate a bit. I have PR6 website with many quality pages and PR3 website with almost the same number of pages. Both are targeting the same niche. And what do you think? PR3 has 10 times more traffic, just because it has the right links pointing to it. So PR is just a juice. It won't bring you traffic.
Same Niche? Could you PM me your urls andkeywords - not that I don't believe you, but if you're right I might change my theory. THis is interesting - I've seen the reverse results on my personal tests.
Sorry, I am not able to do so, but just believe me. Maybe I overstate a bit, but the in the general case correlation is not that explicit. For example some internal page may get good PR from internal relinking, but it won't necessary rank high.
No offense, but unless I see proof, I'm not believing it. I'll still respect your post and thoughts on the subject. To each their own. I would have loved to see and tested the results though.
i think there is no such kind of relation between page rank and traffic If your search engine rankings are high then your traffic will increase. isn't it
In my own experiences, PR itself would be only a factor for SERP purpose. But, if high PR site would also have quality backlinks from niche relative sources with right keywords as anchor text, it would be really helpful for SERP, too. Have a nice day,
Nope. Pr will not give you a traffic. You can get more traffic if your keyword will start to show on first page or in a better palcement in search engine.
