porn is always a huge industry but having .xxx just for that is kind of sad.

 

This might actually be a good idea to separate porn sites and migrate them away from other extensions...it's much easier to block all domains ending in .xxx than to filter them otherwise.

 

I doubt any established sites will move over to the extension so only going to see new sites pop up on there on all the keyword terms.

 

Another 9 million worthless names to add to the list.

Its already .pro for Professional .jobs for Jobbers companies, but how many are following these TLD.

 

surely ,now .coms can be cleaned up and use .xxx or porn

 

.xxx domain is a good idea but what about the .com porn sites will they transfer all .com porn sites to .xxx??

You can register at any registrar once it is officially available i guess

I was thinking of .co but that is pointless since it's cctld.
Now I can get a cool gtld .XXX for my site (not for pron).

 

i contacted godaddy about when they will be available to register. they said:

"According to ICANN, those should be available later this year. If and when GoDaddy will carry them is still unknown."

 

IMO, they should require all porn sites to switch to the .xxx extension.
