OK, Here's the short version. I hate PP! The reality of doing biz on the web though, is that PP is one of the only really trusted processors by nearly everyone, and almost universally recognized by the people that count most... your buyers. There's lots of alternatives that I hope improve, but the reality is that PP is the way to go... sadly. The ONLY alternative is to have your own merchant account when you start running enough business through PP, but even that isn't always the best way to go. PP is so buyer friendly that they will eat you alive if you do the slightest thing they don't approve of (and that can be anything).
PayPal is also one of the most widely used if not the most widely used third party processor. Buyers are not interested in signing up for third party processors like WebMoney, ePassporte, AlertPay, etc which may be superior in your opinion just so that they can sign up for your services. It's a hassle to have accounts spread across multiple processors. Buyers want convenience.
People, even in 2010 don't really like to pay online. They have the impression of being scammed even if its not the case. Paypal brings them security. Even if their is many equivalent, that can be even more secure, they trust Paypal because they know (or they think) they won't be scammed that way. Paypal has one thi9ng others don't have: renown! Thats simple as that
I can't for the life of me, figure out why Google hasn't taken PP down. They've got the name, recognition and, certainly, the money. They would probably be my first choice if they ever got serious about being in processing. So far, it's remained on a back burner with them.
I dont think paypal is the best option because sometimes it create strange problems and arguments for their users but we dont have any other same option so keep using it
Yup! Definitely PayPal is leading and best payment option available which is proving a mindset for online working people
