This is the problem I have too. Try https://www.google.com and it will work. I think google is changing something. Because I don't believe that my computer has virus infected since I have Norton protection. So I guess, maybe block me from searching as you know I just search too much, checking from one to another, checking my website keywords about 30 times a day. This is why I think google hate me and you :)

I also have some issue with Yahoo too. when I visit Yahoo.Com it said Sorry, the page you requested was not found. What the hell?

Are you using a shared IP? May be someone with that same IP using any automated software to query google..

Have no idea. I have Time Warner Cable Internet and I use Linksys to get wireless for a few of my laptops. There is no one use beside me.
    1. I am sure that all my computer has no virus as I have virus protection. I can see or use the service as long as I visit https://www.google.com or https://www.yahoo.com.

If I visit www.yahoo.com without encrypted page it will said Page is not existed! It is not just google that I can't search but yahoo too that I can't see its homepage :)

    Just strange!

This problem has also been caused by using alternate DNS
servers like OpenDNS. If you change your DNS back to the ones automatically given out by your ISP’s DHCP servers – this will sometimes clear up this problem.

not necessarily if your using browser plugins such as SeoQuake you can get a temp ban from Google because of all the auto queries it sends out

Yes, the most likely cause of this temporary ban is because you have some sort of SEO tool or utility which is making too many queries to Google. They do not like this and it is specifically against their TOS to send automated queries, hence the temporary ban. Usually after the message you copied and pasted there is a captcha code which if entered will allow you to continue with your Google search, but this doesn't always appear depending on the level of abuse they deem you to have carried out.

Are you using an automatic rank checker? That's the message I receive once I run too many keyword reports with WebCEO. Usually go away after a while.

Open C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and anything under "127.0.0.1 localhost"

I also faced the problem before.

Such message usually appear when there has been too many queries in a very short time. Google has devised this protection 'to cool off'! It temporarily disables the searching abilities from such IP but resumes the same... after a while.

You probably have some plugin or software messing up with your IP by sending too many unsolicited queries to SE's. :(

    Hi,

I think this would usually happen when you have some kinds of SEO add-ons installed on your browsers like seoquake or others. Those SEO add-ons would generate automatic inquires when you visit any pages and thus your IP address would fall in temporary blocked by Google.

    all the best,

You can get this message even when you are searching Google manually. If you click through 20 or so pages of results in a short period of time it will prevent you from searching for a particular length of time. I think you'll find you should probably be OK to use Google again now.
