Blackhat for fun, because I find it insanely enjoyable to mess around with what works and what doesn't work. Whitehat for steady and stable recuring income. I've done really well with blackhat stuff in the past, but it always dries up after people get wise to it. If you can score a few paydays from a blackhat project, DO IT! Whitehat is just great, however, because you bust your butt to get something going, and it is 100% legit, so it will remain a steady earner and not disapear/get sandboxed/stop earning randomly. Unless you have an enemy who's trying to knock you out of the SE listings
Whitehat - I speant alot of time programming my websites (months usually) , if your websites are good and you belive in them (as you should) then white hack will do fine.
Just a little while back I was doing bluehat SEO. And know I am doing little bit Redhat, lol. Silly thread.
I have changed my opinion since I last posted a thread with this question about 6 months ago. Certain practices are considered black hat, but are simply boosted whitehat techniques e.g bookmarking/directory submission - you can do it the whitehat (slow manual way) or the "blackhat" (quick fast way). Either way, you will get the same results, one will just take less effort. This particular practice is considered blackhat, but I think it's perfectly legit. My personal view is that black hat is SPAM, if you're not spamming, it's whitehat.
