    Hi all,

I am checking my backlinks in google by writing link:www.domainname.com and results is 300 and when I check like link: www.domainname.com I get 80000 results.

Please share your experience with me what is the difference between this two searches and also reason for the same.

    Thanks in advance.

There is a difference as when you give space after colon it is counted as a keyword.... So don't do this....

Other way to check back link ....

write info: and then click on "contain the term"

You really shouldn't even be checking links like that with Google. If you want to check your links with Google, register with Google Webmaster Tools, and authenticate your site, and they will give you data about your site (such as link count). The best way to check your backlinks is using the Yahoo! Site Explorer, they don't hold any link data / link count back.

When you search for link:www.domainname.com It shows backlinks to www.domainname.com
When you search link: www.domainname.com It shows results of all pages that contain word link & www.domainname.com

To check backlink go for link:www.domainname.com
Better is webmaster tool even thugh it does not show 100%
Y Explorer also shows the links though not 100% but way more than google, but Y Explorer shows even nofollow links.
