I was looking at this one http://www.shopperpress.com/ maybe anybody has any experience with this one, but if you know of one that is the best that you know of, please let me know. Price is not an issue, so if there's one that's alright cost this $ but the best one you think cost $$$$ no problem, let me know of it, thank you

I have only used eshop and wp ecommerce. Both are ok, but to make the site look and function really well you will need to purchase some of the addons and/or have some time, patience and programming skill.

The good thing about both eshop and wp ecommerce is that they are both free to try out so you can install and play around to see if you like the interface.

I find eshop support forums are quite friendly and they are willing to help. wp ecommerce support on the other hand can be a bit snarky sometimes.

I use Shopperpress and have had good success with it so far. Nice looking templates, real wordpress database and great support. Take some time to learn but the others do as well

    getshopped.org is not bad either.

But I still favor over the real engine of ecommerce like Magento. Yes... of course the blog functionality is none or almost limited without the help of extension from aheadworks. The best thing you have with ecommerce engine, your product organize would be very superb especially if you're selling a whole range of products. One of the site that using magento is silverosilver.com. There is still a lot of showcase that you could look for magento.

IMHO it's back to your needs and wants. After all we want to work with stuff that we are familiar or things that we think we could handle.

Hopefully you get what you search for.

The best shopping cart system I've used by far is an indepently developed
one sold on themeforest by "srhnbr". The cart comes as a wordpress theme, which is easy enough to customise / style with a bit of css knowledge. It has a load of options in the back-end too for bits and pieces.

Sarah the developer is great, I've needed some support a couple of time and she usually responds in 24 hours.

    There are two avalable:
    http://themeforest.net/item/the-furniture-store-wordpress-ecommerce-shop/94982
    http://themeforest.net/item/the-jewelry-shop-wordpress-ecommerce/102478

I've got the furnitutre store one set up for selling 3D content and it works great... couldn't reccomend enough...

WP is ok for ecommerce, I've tried that and Joomla. I would recommend Volusion is SUPER EASY! I started my account and after a few days I had it down.

I think you can get Zencart to work with Wordpress.

I took over a site that is running eShop. I know really nothing about it, but I do know that I want to change the sales process.

    A few questions:

    * can eShop handle upsells - I want to add 1-3 into the process before final checkout

    * can eShop integrate Paypal PayFlow Pro, or just Business/Standard (any changes since July)

    * can a WP wizard modify the look and feel of the shopping cart using CSS; if so, how flexible is the layout

    * if eShop can't handle the above, what is my best alternative

    * how simple (or not) is it to swap WP carts - will it totally screw up any existing cart/layout customizations

I tried wp ecommerce and, oh my god, I uninstalled it whithin 20 minutes. It's a good effort but I'm afraid they are still a long way far from our expectations. I would suggest you to integrate yourself a good ecommerce solution (magento or opencart, depending on your needs) with wordpress.
