hello I just want to know about this 2 ads type text ads and image ads ... anyone got experience that images ads make your CTR increasing ?? people said that 1 image = 1000 words so that works in adsense ???
From my experience users are more likely to click on text ads, because say you are using the leaderboard unit - it gives 4 different text advertisements whereas an image would be only one advertisement. So, when using text ads you probably have a higher chance of a user being interested in one of those links.
Dude, if image ads work better than text ads, why do you think Adsense is making a killing selling text ads?
I suggest not to underestimate the power of good text ads. text ads in many cases can have higher CTR's than image ads depending on how well the advertisement is written. it's simple really, poorly written ads will not be successful, well written text ads will do well for you.
texts and are better but it depends on your site if you have site giving some services like downloads or sth i guess image ads do better
Text ads are better in sense of CTR, but the image ad catches the attraction of the visitor and got higher CTR than text ads
Text Link Ads are great! You can generate revenue from your website. Can be used along with Adsense. Approve each ad. http://www.themostclicks.com/revenue1.html
Seriously, guys, THINK about it: Google Adsense is BUILT upon the notion of selling text ads instead of the traditional banners. Why is there even an argument here? If you want to use traditional image banners, you can find better rates with a CPM network. But if you're going to use Adsense, you should use the text ads. I mean, DUH.
The best way to find out which format works best for YOUR site is to use channel tracking. Every site is different. It comes down to ad layout, ad size, colour, blending etc. Use channels and find out what works best over the long run.
banner image ads are better for CPM, Better if you want to get your name/company/website embedded in viewers heads, seeing it over and over again. I have always done better with click through rate with Text Links though. But to each it's own.
