How much are fans worth?

Generally, how much does it cost to attract fans for a new facebook page that is related to a new website? I am in a situation where I predict I would be able to attract 100 legitimate fans for $15. It seems that pay per click advertising would be more expensive than this and I'm not sure how else to attract fans rather than adding lots of people.. which takes a long time.

Thoughts? Would you take up this offer if you had the chance?

It's hard to put an exact cost to this, but my advice would be to try buying some traffic to your fan page by having someone suggest it to their fanpage. You can find some really cheap ones over at fiverr.com

Facebook Advertising is expensive in general. You might try using a social network advertising site (such as AdParlor or RockYou) and submitting an ad to them. It may be cheaper and you'd attract more fans.

Oh, also check on Ebay for Facebook Advertising Coupons/Vouchers. Users often sell $50 vouchers for very, very cheap. I got one for $5.

You can try facebook advertising or pay someone who already has a large fan base to 'suggest' your page to their own fans/friends.

I've not had too much luck with advertising on Facebook. As for adding fans, I've struggled with my personal pages. Damn't if I'm struggling to keep up with the latest SEO trends and have missed the boat on social network techniques.

I would say that fans are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. That price seems slightly steep, but I imagine you getting a few sales none the less. I would pay $15 per 100 that were highly targeted and converted 1+% on CPS offers...

There are other ways of getting tons of fans to a page, you should do some more research in that area. It'll help to take some work load off of you and be able to offer something more cost efficient, say around $15 per 1000.

Well the usual value of a fan is 0.01$ .. this is the usual rate when you calculate the value of a fanpage when you want to sell it
As about your rate.. is a bit high 15$ for 100 fans.. that means that for 10k fans = 1500$?
i can get 100k fans for that amount :)
Anyway.. i hope i answered your question

who make this estimation? I think it depends on the geographic location of the fan
