Hiveloctiy.net - terrible and just plain old shit.
I just feel this needs to be said and there arnt many warnings out there.
The service is just terrible, they spent almost 4 hours reseting my password and sent me an email saying "password: ". What the fuck?
I just bought a server, for $200, and within 24 hours it timed out (they havn't done one thing, so much for paying extra / its managed).
I wasn't alone, I made a thread recently on my friends forum and one of the staff stated
"The whole system lures customers in with their low prices but turns around and suspends you for no reason."
I am just warning all businesses that they are running a borderline fraud service and should just stay clear.

Well mentos, i think $200 a month is normal for a standard server though did some Googling and seems like there are some pretty bad reviews for hivelocity and some good ones. Seems like standard. To OP try to contact them here

This is exactly why you should spend some time researching a hosting company and looking for reviews before purchasing their service, Beware of fake web-host reviews.

I am sorry for you. Always host your websites on well known companies servers. Also if you have a good traffic try VPN or dedicated servers.

if you buy from obscure companies expect the worst. there is nothing to stop them closing and reopening tomorrow under a new name. thats why you have to go with the big names like hostgator

We dont turn customers off for no reason. Nor are we obscure. We have been in business since 2002 and host thousands of servers for customers in nearly 100 countries worldwide.

I am sorry things did not work out with OP but I have a feeling there is much more to this story. We are staffed 24/67 and a password reset doesnt take 4 days unless there is more to the story.
